MMA player Belfort punches ex-boxing champion Holyfield (58) technically KO in first round | boxing

It was Holyfield’s big comeback, who stepped back into the ring at 58. Ten years after his last fight against Brian Nielsen, the American ventured into a boxing event again.

Normally, Belfort had to compete against the American Oscar De La Hoya, but due to a corona infection, he had to cancel. Holyfield then decided to step forward.

After just a few seconds, Holyfield received quite a few blows. After a lot of taking, the American fell to the ground. The referee stopped the fight, much to Holyfield’s chagrin.

“I wasn’t injured,” said Holyfield, who thought the choice was “a bit of a shame”. “It is now, but I think it was the wrong choice.”

The American took gold at the 1984 Olympics and also became world heavyweight champion.
