KOMPAS.com – Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been criticized for his actions as an impromptu coach in the match against Young Boys.
The criticism came directly from Man United legend, Rio Ferdinand.
The Young Boys vs Man United duel is the first match in Group H of the Champions League which will be held at the Stade de Suisse Wankdorf on Tuesday (14/9/2021) night WIB.
The match ended with the score 2-1 for Young Boys victory.
The Red Devils, nicknamed Man United, were certainly very disappointed with the defeat.
Because, Man United actually started the game well after winning first in the 13th minute thanks to Ronaldo’s goal.
Disaster then came to Man United when Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off in the 35th minute.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka received a red card after being caught stepping on the foot of Young Boys midfielder Christopher Martins when the two were fighting for the ball.
Wan-Bissaka’s red card forced Man United to play defensively and only rely on counter-attacks from the start of the second half.
However, Man United’s defense finally broke in the 66th minute after Nicolas Ngamaleu scored an equalizer for Young Boys.
Six minutes later, Man United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, decided to pull out Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes at once.

Solskjaer seems to want to strengthen his midfield by including Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic.

Ronaldo looked very expressive and even shouted when giving instructions to Man United players.

Young Boys’ winning goal was scored by Theoson Jordan Siebatcheu.
The United States player managed to score after taking advantage of Jesse Lingard’s blunder who made a wrong backpass.
Theoson Jordan Siebatcheu’s goal also closed the Young Boys vs Man United match.
After the match, Rio Ferdinand criticized Ronaldo, who had become an impromptu coach.
Rio Ferdinand indirectly assessed Ronaldo’s actions as very inappropriate.

However, Rio Ferdinand still understands because he knows Ronaldo is a player who has a winning mentality.
“If I were Solskjaer, I would ask Ronaldo to sit on the bench,” said Ferdinand Metro.

This is not the first time Ronaldo has become an impromptu coach on the sidelines.
Previously, Ronaldo also did the same thing when defending the Portugal national team in the Euro 2016 final match against France.
CR7, Ronaldo’s nickname, at that time had to be pulled out towards the end of the first half due to a knee injury.
