Liverpool beat Leeds United in the first half

Liverpool appeared dominant against Leeds United in the first round in the Premier League continued. The Reds have so far led 1-0.

Thiago Alcantara had tore the Leeds goal in the 24th minute with a header. The linesman annulled the goal for being offside.

Two minutes later Harvey Elliott almost doubled Liverpool’s advantage. The 18-year-old’s shot from close range could still be blocked by Meslier.

Leeds was never able to put pressure on Liverpool throughout the first half. Until halftime, the score remained 1-0 for Liverpool’s advantage.
