Ligue 1 – Round 5 Summary: Lyon wins second time in a row

12.09. 15:00

Goals: 60. Ricardo Mangas, 88. Jean Onana – 39. Gaël Kakuta, 43. Facundo Medina, 90 + 5. Florian Sotoca (pen.)

Les Girondins managed to erase the opponent’s two-goal lead, but in the set time they collected from the penalty. Thanks to this, they have only two points on their account after five rounds, which is enough for the last place in the current constellations. Racing, on the other hand, remains in contact with the front of the table.

If by chance one of the almost twenty thousand fans arrived at Matmut Atlantique twenty minutes after the start of the match, he did not lose anything at all. Florian Sotoca wasn’t in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Benoît Costil after 22 minutes. At the end of the opening half hour, Arnaud Kalimuendo sent a jumping shot from behind the lime, and in this case it cannot be said that the number one in Bordeaux’s services was absolutely sure from his point of view that the balloon was heading next to the right post.

In the 36th minute, he let Sotoca know about himself again. Unfortunately for him and his teammates, the ball spun away from the goal. But 180 seconds later, Lens could rejoice. Kalimuendo moved to the left to Frankowski, who used his opponent’s lack of emphasis to produce as accurate a center as possible. That’s why Gaël Kakuta was infallible with his head – 0: 1.

Two minutes before the end of the regular playing time, the supporters of the visiting team had one more reason to rejoice. Jonathan Clauss centered from the corner flag at the border of the small square, from where Facundo Medina pushed through his head again – 0: 2. Franck Haise’s charges caught another corner kick in the half-time whistle, but Sotoca only aimed at him in the crossbar.

The two “locker rooms” are not pleasant, but the hope for a point gain for the losing team still existed. Ricardo Mangas was close to lowering in the 58th minute. However, this Portuguese football player did not survive until after an hour of play. He immediately headed for the ground to the right post when a balloon from Kevin Dans bounced off him – 1: 2.

The home team were rewarded for their efforts in the 88th minute. The round object had been moving too long in the Racing Sixteen for leaving Jean Onan to lie idle. The midfielder, who until recently officially belonged to Lille, pushed through a shot from very close – 2: 2. So we managed to erase the loss, but at the set time came a shock.

Referee Luís Godinho ran to the video to see if Laurent Koscielny happened to play in his own lime. And because the suspicion was confirmed, the guests were given the opportunity to play a penalty kick. Florian Sotoca believed a lot. And because he sent the goalkeeper to the opposite side than the one he shot on, he secured his club’s second victory this year – 2: 3.
