BOLANAS.COM – Adi Eko Jayanto’s one piece managed to bring Persik to beat Borneo FC in the second week of Liga 1 2021/22.

The second week of Liga 1 2021/22 presents one match in which the club is involved in killing the giants.

Persik Kediri, a “promoted” club from Liga 2 2019, beat Borneo FC in the second week of Liga 1 2021/22, Friday (10/9/2021).

Midfielder Adi Eko Jayanto decided Persik Kediri’s victory with a surprise goal in the 79th minute.

Before the match, Borneo FC was actually the favorite to get three points because of its status as the leader of the temporary standings.

In the first week, Borneo FC silenced Persebaya with a score of 3-1, while Persik humiliated Bali United with a score of 0-1.

However, Borneo FC looks limp with the absence of two foreign players on the front lines, namely Francisco Torres and Jonathan Bustos.

Borneo continues to appear as a superior team, as evidenced by possession of the ball reaching 63 percent.

However, the Persik back line raised by Andri Ibo appeared solid to frustrate Pesut Etam’s squad.

The climax, a slick scheme from Persik in the 79th minute created a one-on-one situation between Adi Eko Jayanto and Angga Saputro.

Adi Eko Jayanto did not shoot hard, but coolly sent a lob that tricked the Borneo FC goalkeeper.

Until the match was over, Persik still maintained the position 1-0, even though Borneo FC mobilized the power of Boaz Solossa.

The star of Persik’s victory, Adi Eko Jayanto, said he was happy with his first goal in Liga 1.

“I’m happy to have scored, this is my first goal in Liga 1,” the 27-year-old midfielder said on the club’s Instagram (11/9/2021).

“Hopefully it can continue and help Persik Kediri to win,” he added.

Coach Joko Susilo is also proud of the tireless struggle shown by his foster children.

“We are also lucky and grateful to have players who fight as hard as possible, as much as possible for the name of Persik,” he said.

Persik will duel with Tira Persikabo in the third week of Liga 1 2021/22, Friday (17/9/2021).
