Unsurprisingly, the Nets have just announced having cut Jahlil Okafor, recovered a few days ago in the exchange with Detroit around DeAndre Jordan.
It is not a surprise because the 3rd choice of the Draft 2015, passed by the Sixers, the Pelicans and the Pistons did not enter at all in the plans of Brooklyn, which just had to recover it in order to get rid of the contract of its pivot without paying too much tax. All the more so with the return of LaMarcus Aldridge, who completes the racket, made up of Blake Griffin, Nic Claxton, James Johnson and rookie Day’Ron Sharpe.
It remains to be seen what the Nets intend to do with Sekou Doumbouya, also arrived in exchange for DeAndre Jordan. Are they counting on the Frenchman for the coming season? Answer probably in the next few days …
