Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez’s antics by swaying in front of Manchester United fans when Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty drew a response from Jack Grealish.

The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Villa at Old Trafford last Saturday, with the Argentine goalkeeper finding Bruno’s penalty shot high over the bar in the run-up to injury-time.

Bruno’s failure to execute a penalty was allegedly due to the ingenuity of Martinez’s mental game.

It is known, in front of Bruno, Martinez appointed Cristiano Ronaldo so that the former Juventus superstar who took 12 shots, not his compatriot.

Because of the challenge that Martinez gave Ronaldo, Bruno is believed to be ‘mentally hit’ or nervous.

As is known, Ronaldo is also a penalty specialist during his career. But in that match, he relented and allowed Bruno to score the decisive penalty.

Unfortunately, Bruno’s shot flew high over the bar, but Ronaldo tried to keep his compatriot’s heart up.

Interestingly, Martinez made a unique gesture shortly after Bruno’s penalty failure. He immediately turned around in front of the Man United fans and then swayed as if gesturing mockery at the Red Devils loyalists.

Finding that, Grealish, who is a former teammate of Martinez, sent a message to the goalkeeper for his action on Instagram.

“Unexpected performance from everyone today. Three points, clean sheet, job done,” wrote Grealish, who this summer brought to Manchester City from Villa.

“Emi, you’re a witty guy. Great, bro,” added Grealish.

This negative result is Man United’s first defeat in the new season. They still collect 13 points from six matches passed, sitting in fourth place in the standings.
