In Bubry, first exchange around the future gymnasium between the municipality, the Judo club and the ASB – Bubry

In Bubry, Wednesday September 8, a first meeting took place between Julie Le Strat, municipal councilor, and representatives of the two most important associations of the town: the Judo club led by Bruno Arnaison, and the ASB (football) , by Loïc Le Berre, the president. They took stock of the gymnasium project.

“The municipality, which has land in the village, plans to build a gymnasium. The latter would be operational in the next term of office, around 2026. In the spring, we asked the Bubryates, via a questionnaire, to list their expectations. At the sports commission, led by assistant Nicole Guillemot, we will summarize the responses, in order, depending on the sports practiced, to feed our reflection on the nature of the structure to be considered in order to launch the project. We will soon involve club leaders to complete this stage, ”explained Julie Le Strat.

The dojo is too small

For Bruno Arnaison: “The Judo club opened 25 years ago. The workforce is now 130 dismissed, still increasing. Our dojo has become really too small to practice the discipline in good conditions, even if our results regularly testify to the quality of the education provided. Our priority is therefore to have a larger room, a structure on a human scale that meets local needs. We have to think about a global sports policy, in particular for the financing of club equipment and pooling resources ”.

The Bubry Sports Association (ASB) football club, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2022, has two senior teams (35 players), and 30 young people in the Groupement du Brandifout (U6-U7, U8-U9, U10 -U11).

“A multisports hall is essential. During the winter, we are obliged to train in Melrand for the comfort of the children ”, underlines Loïc Le Berre.

For now, the two officials are considering “joint actions to promote their sport to schools, because the season is starting well and the desire is there!” : why not a festival of associations in the spring? “

A finding that testifies to the need for close work with the municipality: “an axis to be developed in order to move forward”, the trio concluded.
