VIVA – A terrible incident occurred in the Liverpool versus Leeds United duel in the fourth week of the 2021/2022 Premier League on Sunday 12 September 2021. The Reds player, Harvey Elliott suffered a broken leg after receiving a horror tackle from Pascal Struijk. He vented a few days later.
The duel which was held at Elland Road, the headquarters of Leeds United belonged to Liverpool. They dominated the duel since the early minutes and finally ended the match with a 3-0 victory.
Unfortunately the victory must be paid dearly. Elliott broke his leg midway through the game. This incident began with Struijk who was about to take the ball to do a tackle from behind in the 60th minute. Elliott immediately groaned in pain and it looked like his ankle was badly injured.
