Golf | Rahm does not pass the cut in the Fortinet before the Ryder

The American Maverick McNealy finished the day on Friday with a card with 64 strokes (-8) with an eagle to take advantage at the top of the Championship of Fortinet from the PGA Tour of the United States, where the spanish Jon Rahm, world number one, missed the cut on the second day.

Along with his eagle on the ninth hole, McNealy had nine birdies and three bogeys at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California, for a total of 132 impacts (-12). “It was crazy,” said McNealy, who played his first nine holes at five under par and then conceded three bogeys in a row.

McNealy heads into the weekend with a lead of dthe blows on his compatriot Beau Hossler and the Chilean Mito Pereira, tied for second with 134 (-10) each. “It’s great to be at the top of the rankings now,” said McNealy, who is in search of his first PGA Tour of America title.

The Spaniard Rahm, who started the day before very lazy with stomach problems, finished the second round with a card with 71 hits (-1) for a total of 143 hits (-1). The Argentine Emiliano Grillo and the Colombian Sebastián Muñoz were also left out after the cut of the second round, finishing with 144 (even on the field) and 156 (+12), respectively.
