Here’s finally that SEGA and Sports Interactive released what many thousands of players wanted to know: the official release date of Football Manager 2022.
Although there is still not much information about what’s new in this year’s edition, the countdown can already start.
Football Manager 2022 is already scheduled. The return of the football club management simulator returns and, with some points of interest for now.
And the first is that both Football Manager 2022 and Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition will be available on the Xbox Game Pass right from the day of launch. Good news for those who have a valid subscription to the Xbox service, thus being able to play, at no extra cost, from day one.
It should be noted that, similarly to what happened in previous years, the Football Manager edition for Xbox is a lighter edition when compared to the PC. Basically, it focuses on the essentials of management leaving some details (which many players appreciate) out of the way.
For players with an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, both editions will be available.
Miles Jacobson, Director of Sports Interactive stated that “Football Manager 2022 will lay new foundations for the Football Manager series as it hits the Xbox Game Pass on Day 1. The game's success over the past year on Xbox has exceeded our expectations and we are super excited about this expansion of our partnership with Microsoft.”
According to Sports Interactive, this year's edition brings new possibilities to manage our club and create a sports management legacy. It was also promised that the veil of the game's news will be lifted little by little, over the next few weeks.
Additionally, it was also indicated that those who pre-purchase the game (for PC or Mac) through a seller certified by SEGA will have a 10% discount and early access to the game (2 weeks before). Pre-booking through the Microsoft Store will be available soon.
Football Manager 2022 Mobile (for iOS and Android) also arrives on November 9, with more information and details about these editions to be revealed during the month of October.
November 9, 2021 is the day Football Manager 2022 arrives on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store and Football Manager Xbox Edition arrives on Xbox. As for Nintendo Switch (via Football Manager 2022 Touch) more news will be revealed soon.
