On his eleventh day of practice heading to the start of the 2021-2022 season of the Mexican Pacific League, the Naranjeros de Hermosillo They had a second inter-squad duel this Saturday and added two more players in the Sonora Stadium.
This was the penultimate day of activity in Hermosillo for the Naranjeros before embarking on the trip to continue their preseason in USA.
This Saturday they joined the training Fernando Salas, LMP reliever of the year for the 2020-2021 season, and the Tijuana pitcher Jose Angel Cerda.
After doing physical conditioning exercises and batting practice, the elements of Orange Square they held their second intersquad duel of this preseason.
Again the teams were called “Rambos” y “Terminators”, and again the victory favored the latter, this time with a final score of 4-2.
The “Terminators” team was made up of Ángel Camacho, Christian Pacheco, Alex Robles, Alex Flores Carrillo, Amhed Galaz, Daniel Mercado, Agustín Acosta, Emiliano Valencia and Andrés Figueroa, who saw action with both teams as designated hitter, and as pitchers they had Kenneth Sigman, Martín Córdova and Luis Manuel Ochoa.
For its part, the ninth of “Rambos” had in its line up to José Cardona, Jasson Atondo, Arel Campoy, Yousamot Cota, Kevin Flores, Rolando Acosta, Gael Luján, Víctor Becerril and Andrés Figueroa; their pitchers were Juan Macías and Efraín Morales.
This Sunday morning the Naranjeros will hold their last practice in Hermosillo and later undertake the trip to Tucson, Arizona, where they will continue with their preseason starting tomorrow.
Next week they will have their first games within the Mexican Baseball Fiesta when they face the Aguilas de Mexicali in Las Vegas.
