Take control of a game with these special abilities in NBA 2K22.
As in previous years, NBA 2K22 brought back takeover abilities in this year’s title and there are a few entries on the roster.
Takeover abilities are specifically intended for a player’s MyPlayer account and give their character additional traits that help them take their game to a whole new level. They are basically a boost for your character that can be used throughout a game. They offer a few little qualities which, when used correctly, can really turn your MyPlayer into an NBA2K22.
The question players are asking themselves is what abilities they have access to in NBA 2K22. Well, the answer to that question is below with all of the takeover abilities in this year’s game.
All takeovers in NBA2K22
There are 10 Takeovers in total in NBA 2K22, but players will only have access to seven to start. There are three abilities that must be unlocked while playing. When players customize their Takeovers, they can equip two of them, one primary and one secondary. The primary will fill up first, then the secondary will follow.
You are harmed to activate both at the same time for an extra boost to your game, but it will take longer than activating one at a time. Once a meter is full, you can activate it and receive the boost it provides.
The 10 abilities are listed below with their explanations. The three stars must be unlocked separately.
Blows to break the ankles: Increased chance to drop defenders and take back steps and spinning jump shots
Negative impact: Reduces the impact of contested shots against pull, spin, and jump back shots
Unlimited scope: Increases the range of fire beyond the three point line
Spot-up precision: Increases the chance of hitting a stationary jump shot at the right time
Team Badge Boost: Increases the offensive abilities of your teammate’s badge for a short time after passing the ball to them
Increased team ratings: Boosts your teammate’s offensive abilities for a short time after passing the ball to them
Team recovery boost: Boosts your teammate’s takeover bar progress
Improved Jumpshot Contests *: Improves your shooting competition ability against perimeter jump shots
Extreme grippers *: Improves your defensive ability by forcing your opponents to pick up the ball, stop or lose the ball when you are near them
Perimeter badge deposit *: Reduces opponent’s offensive badges when approaching them in the perimeter
