Dortmund and Leverkusen celebrate – Wolfsburg are leading the table

Bayern Munich are new leaders in the Bundesliga after Wolfsburg’s draw. Dortmund and Leverkusen are also on top after their victories and lie in wait. The pressure is already increasing in Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Gladbach.

Sunday’s winners: Dortmund and Leverkusen are ahead.

Despite being outnumbered, Leverkusen wins in Stuttgart

Bayer Leverkusen has on despite being outnumbered for an hour Sunday celebrated a deserved 3-1 win at VfB Stuttgart. The game immediately picked up speed and before the home side knew it, after a mistake in the build-up due to a goal from Andrich, they were already behind. VfB didn’t get along at all against Bayer in the early stages and Schick quickly increased it to 2-0. The Swabians seemed overwhelmed and the game decided. But Andrich saw the red card after a rough entry. From then on there was a lot of hectic and Stuttgart shortened before the break. However, the Werkself came out of the locker room solidly. On the other hand, the home side had very little idea on the offensive. The guests were more dangerous on the counterattack and met through Wirtz to the 3-1 final score.

Haaland ends the race to catch up in Berlin

Dortmund stayed on course and beat Union Berlin 4-2 after an entertaining game. The first action belonged to the guests (Awoniyi offside goal in the first minute), but then the balance of power was quickly clarified. First, Guerreiro scored a dream goal to lead BVB. A little later, Haaland used his whole body in the air duel and increased to 2-0. When Friedrich stumbled the ball into his own goal after the change, the game seemed over. But the Berliners did not give up, came back with a penalty that Kruse converted. Although Voglsammer even made it 2: 3, there was not much rush. Because Haaland quickly scored to 4-2 and broke the resistance of the Berliners, who lost for the first time this season.

Weghorst saves Wolfsburg the draw

Wolfsburg had to give up points in the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt for the first time and are thus losing the championship lead to Bayern Munich. VfL was the better team in the early stages (Weghorst hit the bar), but Eintracht caught on and took the lead straight away. Lammers scored with a nice shot. After the change, Wolfsburg pushed the pace more and more and rewarded themselves with the 1-1 draw from Weghorst. Due to the draw, the Hessians remain without a win under coach Oliver Glasner.

The top game on Saturday night between 1. FC Köln and RB Leipzig had a lot to offer – scoring chances, aluminum hits and a lot of work for referee Felix Brych and his VAR in the “Kölner Keller”. Goals were denied on both sides and the FC leading goal by Modeste was checked for minutes. After the blow in the neck, the Saxons struggled against the impending fourth defeat of the season and were rewarded by Haidara’s massive header to make it 1-1. In the exciting final phase, the march team was actually closer to victory (including Szoboszlai desperately at the strong keeper Horn), but in stoppage time Duda pushed the ball not into empty goals, but into Gulacsi’s arms.

FC Bayern – Bochum: Sané breaks the free-kick curse – next Lewandowski record

There was a lot of talk of respect for the well-structured VfL Bochum in the run-up to the game in Munich, FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann warned urgently about the promoted team. You could understand what had been said for a quarter of an hour, then the dams broke at the Reis-Elf. Sané with a direct free kick – the first such goal for the record champions since 69 Bundesliga games -, Kimmich from the turn and then Gnabry with a low shot brought the Munich team between the 17th and 32nd minute sovereign and playfully very handsome on the winning road. Before the half-time break, VfL defender Lampropoulos made a faux pas when he pushed the back pass past the outgoing keeper Riemann to make it 4-0. What is special about this four-goal intermediate result? Lewandowski had no part in it. In the second half, the Munich goalscorer was 5-0 successful and broke the next Bundesliga record: never before has a player scored in 13 home games in a row. Meanwhile, Kimmich tied his first double in the Bundesliga. Joker Choupo-Moting, who scored the 7-0 in the third attempt, brought the final point.

Bielefeld – Hoffenheim: Arminia first leaves a lot behind and then has to be satisfied

Arminia Bielefeld literally constricted TSG Hoffenheim in the initial phase, but the Ostwestfalen missed three big chances and thus kept the Kraichgauer in the game. The greatest opportunity in the first section missed Arminia center forward Klos, who shot TSG keeper Baumann alone in front of the goal. But then the Hoeneß-Elf got up, got better and better into the game and could have taken the lead. In the second section, the Hoffenheim team were the game-determining team, but the Armines defended bravely and could be satisfied with the zero number in the end.

Augsburg – Gladbach: Pleas goal doesn’t count – Niederlechner thanks Elvedi

Augsburg had no home point before the game, but the Gladbachers had not taken anything away from home in this round. The first 45 minutes, during which it was extremely quiet in the penalty areas, were accordingly uneventful. That changed shortly before the half-time whistle when Caligiuri’s cross just smacked the post. Immediately after the restart, Gladbach suddenly cheered, but the supposed goalscorer Plea was a touch offside. A blatant defensive mistake by Borussia Elvedi made for cheers – at Augsburg’s Joker Niederlechner, who thanked him with the winning goal. The Weinzierl-Elf scored the first points in front of home fans and at the same time the first three of this season – Hütter’s team, however, has to wait for away games with something that can be counted.

Mainz – Freiburg: zero number a logical result

Mainz and Freiburg got off to a great start into the season, the SC was even unbeaten before the game. But the first round gave no indication of a possibly great self-confidence on both sides, both teams neutralized each other as far as possible, so that there were virtually no opportunities. In the 42nd minute the first shot on goal – Freiburg keeper Flekken parried against Boetius. In the second round, too, no team took greater risk – Flekken had to intervene against Burkardt and St. Juste – so the goalless draw was the logical result here too.

Hertha – Fürth: Ekkelenkamp only needs 87 seconds – Bauer is very bitter

Hertha BSC celebrated a well-deserved home win against SpVgg Greuther Fürth, but it came off happily. After the Middle Franconians took the lead for the first time this season with Hrgota’s penalty goal, the Berlin team increased their performance and struck back thanks to Joker Ekkelenkamp – the Dutchman only needed 87 seconds to cheer after being substituted on. The winning goal then fell after Richter’s cross through the Fürth defender Bauer, who steered the ball into his own mesh while attempting to clear. With the 2: 1, the Dardai-Elf beat the second promoted team (most recently 3: 1 in Bochum) in a row.
