Young Ajax striker Max de Waal looks up to Sébastien Haller. Two days after the much-discussed four goals of the Ivorian against Sporting Portugal, De Waal himself scored a hat-trick against Almere City.
De Waal admires Haller, with whom he is under contract with Ajax “I really think Haller is a phenomenon”, the Young Ajax striker tells Ajax Life. “If you see how he moves… He always looks good. That’s not luck. You look forward to that as a striker of Jong Ajax. I sometimes stand on the training field with those guys from the first, but I don’t really have them yet spoken.”
“Hopefully that will come in the future, because my goal is to make it to the first team,” continues an ambitious De Waal. “Since childhood it has been my dream to play football in the Johan Cruijff Arena.”
De Waal shows himself this season at Young Ajax. With seven Keuken Kampioen Division goals this season, he is joint top scorer with Thijs Dallinga.
