Cup Konya Basketball

The 100th Anniversary Sureyya Aegean Basketball Tournament, held at the weekend in KONYA, came to an end and our representative Beysu Konyaspor Basketball won the cup, winning both matches. The green-whites beat Antalya Güneş Spor in the first match and Ankara TED College in the second match, making it 2 out of 2. Ankara TED Kolejliler, the guest team of the tournament, which was held at Selçuklu Municipality Sports Hall, started better and finished the first quarter ahead 18-16. Konyaspor Basketball, which was effective with outside shots in the second quarter, closed the first half ahead 37-31. In the second half, the side that took the upper hand of the game was our green-white representative and finished the third quarter with a 60-50 victory.

Beysu Konyaspor Basketball, which did not allow the return of its opponent in the LAST quarter and received a score contribution from many of its players, left the match with a 78-70 victory. Konyaspor scored 13/30 from the three-point line and TED Kolejliler 9/24 from the three-point line. Our green-white representative Mehmet Özdoğan scored 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, Can Özcan 15 points, 3 assists, Tayfun Erülkü 11, Matt Morgan and Azizcan Özdemir also recorded 8 points. Konyaspor, who finished first in the tournament, presented the trophy to Konya Technical University Sports and Culture Department Head Ali Ziya Yalçınkaya. Konyaspor will meet again today after a short leave and will continue its preparations for the league from where it left off.
