Despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s record goal, Manchester United lost to Young Boys Bern in stoppage time. Immediately before the start of the new Champions League season, the Portuguese caused a moment of shock in the stadium.

AIn the end they would even have been satisfied with one point, but Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo travel back to the island from Switzerland with no points. Despite a goal from returning Cristiano Ronaldo, the English lost 1: 2 (1: 0) at outsiders Young Boys Bern and spoiled their start into the new Champions League season.

Jordan Siebatcheu scored the winning goal in stoppage time after a bad pass from Jesse Lingard for the Young Boys, who have been coached by David Wagner since this season (90 + 5 minutes).

Champions League record scorer Ronaldo had personally scored the first goal of the new season in the premier class (13th). He also advanced to become a record player with his 177th appearance – on par with his former Real Madrid teammate Iker Casillas.

Before kick-off, however, the Portuguese caused a moment of shock in the stadium when he shot down a folder while warming up. The security guard initially remained lying down before colleagues and paramedics took care of the man.

Ronaldo also rushed to the folder and asked how it was. Apparently he did not suffer any major injuries.
