Santiago de Compostela, Sep 2 (EFE) .- Former player Craig Hodges, NBA champion in 1991 and 1992 with the Chicago Bulls, completed this Friday the fifth and final stage of the Camino de Santiago Portugues along the coast with his arrival at the Plaza del Obradoiro, where he was received by the Director of Galician Tourism, Nava Castro.
The American was the protagonist of the seventh edition of O Camiño ends in Obradoiro, an initiative organized by the basketball club Monbus Obradoiro in collaboration with the Xunta to promote the Camino.
In addition to Hodges, former players Terry Porter, Juan Antonio Corbalán, Nikos Galis, Aza Petrovic, Amaya Valdemoro and José Manuel Calderón participated in previous years.
Hodges is, along with Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird, the only player to have won the NBA 3-point contest three times in a row.
