Eduardo Camavinga has become a Real Madrid player. He didn’t expect the transfer process to be so fast.
The certainty of Camavinga’s move was announced by Madrid on its official website, Tuesday (31/8/2021) evening WIB or about 6-7 hours before the close of the summer transfer market.
Camavinga was awarded a six-year contract after completing his medical at France’s Clairefontain training base. To bring him, Madrid have to spend 30 million euros or around Rp 510 billion, which can go up to 45 million euros with additional bonuses.
Camavinga’s departure this season was predicted because his contract expired in the summer of 2022. Meanwhile, Rennes did not want to lose him for free.
Manchester United is actually a club that continues to be linked with the 18-year-old midfielder. Camavinga did not expect a move to Madrid so quickly.
“My move to Real Madrid was done very quickly. I am very happy and proud,” Camavinga was quoted as saying by Marca.
“But I don’t want this announcement to change my work with (France) Under-21s. Whether I play at Rennes or at Real Madrid, I will continue to give my best, and of course I dream of the senior team, but it’s better to go step by step, ” he continued.
“Now I will go to Rennes to pack my bags, I will move to Madrid and I will continue my journey.”
Camavinga has just contributed two goals for the French U-21 national team against North Macedonia. The final score of the match was 3-0 for France’s victory.
