Group A: Club Brugge stunt against PSG
It is that next week the World Championship cycling is in the pipeline in Flanders. But otherwise Belgium would have been under the spell of the arrival of the stars of Paris Saint-Germain for weeks.
The fans of Club Brugge were not disappointed. Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and also Georginio Wijnaldum all made their appearance in the Jan Breydel stadium, but they did not live up to their status against the Belgian champion.
Without Ruud Vormer and Bas Dost, but with Noa Lang, Bruges kept the Parisian superpower at 1-1, thanks to goals from Ander Herrera and Kylian Mbappé. And the French were allowed to squeeze most of them together, because the best chances in the second half were for the team of star Lang and substitute Vormer.
Lang’s best moment was probably the bicycle kick from a cross from that other star, Charles De Ketelaere. Unfortunately, the bicycle kick missed the right direction.
