Bill Belichick clarifies comments on vaccination

At the start of Monday’s press conference, Bill Belichick, head coach of the New England Patriotsclarified his comments made last week about vaccines and the protocols established by the NFL.

No player has been cut or kept on the staff due to their vaccination status. That is not part of the equation. My comment regarding vaccination is that it is an individual decision. As a team, we are better off if we are all vaccinated. And with that said, not all of our problems are solved, ”declared the six-time Super Bowl winner.

According to NFL Chief Medical Officer Dr. Allen Sills, vaccines significantly reduce symptoms and the spread of the virus. Belichick emphasizes that they will follow the league’s health protocols letter by letter to avoid contagion for the good of the team.

“Many coaches in the league have tested positive for coronavirus despite being vaccinated. We must take care of our daily hygiene and in the decisions we make in reference to our health. We will follow league protocols as we have done so far”Said the three-time NFL Coach of the Year.

Practice squad

The Patriots added the defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale to the practice squad. The Washington State product has played in 16 games since he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2018 and has racked up 17 tackles and one sack.
