Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United this summer. He was recruited from Juventus for a transfer value of 15 million euros plus a bonus of 8 million euros. The Portuguese striker was tied to a contract for two seasons by the Red Devils.
Ronaldo had previously been the idol of the Old Trafford public in the 2003-2009 range. Ronaldo was able to score 118 goals from 292 appearances for Manchester United in that period. He helped Manchester United win four Premier League titles, two FA Cup titles and one Champions League trophy.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to return to Old Trafford after traveling to Real Madrid and Juventus surprised his former partner at MU, Dimitar Berbatov. This is because Berbatov knows CR7 as a person who likes to try new things. However, the Bulgarian is still happy with Ronaldo comeback ke MU.
“I was shocked, didn’t expect. I thought he would go and look for another challenge like he has done throughout his career and to try and prove – not because he needs something to prove. But maybe it’s to please himself going to a different competition and do the same as in Spain and then Italy,” Berbatov said Mirror.
“I’m surprised he’s back in England, but I’m happy. He’s come to United and, that can also be seen as a new challenge when you look at football as history.
“When you come back to the same place a second time. It’s not always as successful as the first one,” he explained.
