Basketball Brescia, we start again from the Super Cup: on Sunday there is Treviso

Basketball is savored at PalaLeonessa. On Sunday at 5.00 pm the first official match of the Brescia Basketball signed by coach Alessandro Magro against Treviso. The stage is that of the Italian Super Cup, a competition that sees the Olimpia Milano of coach Messina last holder of the cup.

The Italian Super Cup over the years has changed its format several times; the last change was made on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the LBA. All 16 teams admitted to the championship participate in the competition consisting of 4 groups on a territorial basis. The winners of the 4 groups will qualify for the Final Four which will be played at the Segafredo Arena.

Among the qualified players already appear: Olimpia Milano, Virtus Bologna, Pesaro and Brindisi. The group of the Leonessa is the C, composed not only by Treviso but also by the newly promoted Napoli. The two teams will open the group dances this evening at 21.00. An important test before the opening gong of the championship, in a season in which Brescia wants to redeem the past year.

The opponents are interesting, first of all because Treviso is one of the queens of this competition: 9 finals played and 4 victories for the team coached today by Menetti; then there is Naples, an opponent who has a lot of enthusiasm from his side, an ingredient that we in Brescia know as well as we know the benefits it can release.

On the other hand Brescia is a new reality, from the organization chart to the roster itself, developed in every department, especially the piece by Pivot. The winner of group C will challenge Olimpia Milano in the quarterfinals, in a test that we could define as the icing on the cake of this pre-season. So the appointment is for Sunday, finally with the A2A PalaLeonessa ready to embrace the fans.
