After its first three stops of the year – in Valencia, Castellón and Málaga – and the summer parenthesis, the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank 2021 circuit is back stronger than ever. It will do so on September 25 and 26 in Barcelona, ​​framed for the first time in its history in the Extreme.

The Parc del Fòrum in the Catalan capital will be the setting for his fourth stop, in which he will bring basketball to this urban sport event for the first time.

By virtue of this, all participants in the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank in Barcelona will be able to participate in the rest of the activities of the event, without missing the usual prizes and gifts, as well as the visit of FEB Ambassador Fernando Romay, who will organize and entertain competitions of shooting and skill for all participants.

Another of the great novelties of the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank stop in Barcelona is that it will be a double shift. On Saturday the competitions will be held in the Mini, Infantile, Junior and Senior categories; and Sunday will be the day for Pre-mini, Pre-Infant and Cadet. Both days are scheduled to start at 10:00 in its own space with 6 courts, whose capacity for visitors and companions will be limited by the mandatory health protocols and must be done through a prior request.

The event has the support of the Barcelona City Council through Extrema Barcelona, ​​and the collaboration of the Catalan Basketball Federation, as well as the participation of a team of 25 volunteers, attached to the FEB-CaixaBank Volunteer Program.

The largest free basketball circuit in Spain The FEB and CaixaBank launched the Plaza 3×3 program in 2012. Since then, this free 3×3 basketball championship has become the largest traveling basketball circuit in all of Spain. The nine stops of 2019, the last that could be held, raised the figures for this street basketball promotion program to more than 42,000 participants and 200,000 visitors. A very positive balance of this emblematic program, which in its eight editions has already visited 39 cities throughout Spain.
