The Ploubalaysian badminton club is 26 years old. It was founded on September 16, 1996 by Bérangère Salmon. Originally a federating club promoting competition, in 2002 it became a leisure club. “Today badists play for fun. Everyone comes to hit the wheel according to their availability, ”explains the new president, Guillaume Hody.
A rather successful initiative, since the section reaches a good forty members. “We meet at the Jean-Cochet sports hall, twice a week, Tuesday and Saturday. The club is open to everyone ”, underlines Michel Vanlande, treasurer.
Tuesday evening, long serves, short, cushioned, lifts, slices and strikes were on the program of the session. All this in a good mood, with the aim of improving one’s physical condition. Sessions take place Tuesdays, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Places are always available. Contact: 02 96 27 26 94.
