Azerbaijani judokas have won the first medals at the first CIS Games in Kazan.
According to AZERTAC, Azerbaijani athletes Elchin Huseynov (66 kg) and Murad Fatiyev (81 kg) won the bronze medals at the Games.
It should be noted that in the tournament 9 contestants will compete among the juniors and 7 contestants among the girls.
It should be remembered that the Azerbaijani team is represented in 13 types of sports at the Games, which will last until September 11: badminton (8 athletes), basketball (4), boxing (8), judo (16), futsal ( 13), table tennis (8), standing and bullet shooting (3), karate (20), belt wrestling (4), koresh (5), women’s wrestling (6), sambo (7), wrestling ( 10), Greco-Roman wrestling (9) and muautau (taibox, 6).
