Recently, he spoke on the famous debate of the best player of all time, or GOAT, and obviously preferred not to get too wet. His point of view on the rise of Djokovic is, however, very interesting.
“I’m not going to comment on who’s the best ever. But Novak seems to be the best player in terms of pure results when it comes to who is the best player of this era. In my opinion, the presence of Federer and Nadal was both a burden and a blessing for Djokovic. If he were the only dominant player in tennis, he wouldn’t have become the player he is now. “
