Pay TV channel “Sky” had invited the ÖFB team striker to accompany the Champions League hit between Inter Milan and Real Madrid on the microphone. The Italian legionnaire, who is under contract with Bologna, was supposed to drive the two-hour drive to Milan’s San Siro.
But nothing came of it. The star striker did the math without his coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. “I found out that I still had a training session in the afternoon. It didn’t work out. Of course, I also have to fulfill my duties,” said the 32-year-old at “Sky”, explaining his short-term absence.

Due to Arnautovic’s short-term cancellation, the planned meeting of the two ÖFB legionaries did not take place. Nevertheless, the striker keeps his fingers crossed for his buddy at his new club. “I’m really proud of David. He has already let me know how he came to an agreement with Real. That is again a shovel higher than with Bayern. Real is Real,” said Arnautovic.
When asked in which position the ÖFB star could best play his class, the striker gave a surprising answer. “I would say his position is on the back left. Even if he doesn’t want to hear that.”
