The important teams of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup faced each other in the tournament organized in memory of Pavlos Giannakopoulos, the former president of Panathinaikos. Anadolu Efes, our last EuroLeague champion representative, beat EuroCup team Ulm 88-69 in the first match of the tournament and advanced to the final.
Anadolu Efes’ Rodrigue Beaubois was the top scorer with 22 points, while new signing Filip Petrusev stood out with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Panathinaikos, on the other hand, defeated Partizan, coached by legendary head coach Zeljko Obradovic, 89-85 at the end of overtime and became Anadolu Efes’ final opponent.
