Alexander Zverev’s brother now also manages double hero Kevin Krawietz – Sport-Mix

The Zverev team is growing! After brother Alexander (24), Mischa Zverev (34) is now also managing double hero Kevin Krawietz (29). The man from Coburg won the French Open in 2019 and 2020 with Andreas Mies (31).

Krawietz on BILD am SONNTAG: “I spoke to Mischa at the US Open. We quickly came to an agreement. So far, my father and two friends have helped me, I didn’t have an agency. “

What is he hoping for from the partnership? “You have the contacts that I miss. It’s hard to find sponsors for a doubles player. But I won’t get multi-million dollar contracts, that is clear to me. “

Therefore, the Zverev side, which also includes Sergej Bubka junior (34), and Krawietz have a handshake contract. “I had the idea for a long time. In Tokyo I talked to Alexander about how things are going with Mischa and Sergej and asked him whether they would take other players as well, ”said Krawietz.

The five-minute briefing was enough for him to make the move four weeks later in New York. “At the US Open, I talked to Mischa and then it happened. I don’t have a classic management team. So far, my father and friends have been helping me, ”said Krawietz.

And what does Olympic champion Alexander Zverev say? “We saw and of course in New York and he said, ‘Hey, are you on our team now?’ He thinks that’s good. If I didn’t get along well with him or only superficially, I would not have addressed the subject. “

When it comes to social media, too, Krawietz is hoping for more know-how. “I’ll continue to do that myself, but I’m looking forward to the input and ideas that Mischa and the others can give me,” he says.

A special wish from Krawietz: “It would be nice if the doubles were upgraded as a whole, if the agency of a world-class player did what a doubles player.”

Why is Mies not part of the party? “I told him what I was going to do. Now he has to decide whether to talk to Misha as well. We’ll be playing together again in January, and I’m looking forward to that. And I would have no problem if we also do something together in management. “

This year Mies was injured, Krawietz played with the Romanian Horia Tecau (36), last stood with him in the quarter-finals of the US Open and can still dream of participating in the World Cup with him.

Mischa Zverev would be happy if Mies came too. “To market my German doubles as a unit would certainly not be bad.”
