Africa: Judo-African Championships – Algeria organizes the 43rd edition

Algeria will organize the 43rd edition of the African Judo Championships which will take place from April 21 to 24, 2022 at the Palais des Congrès of the Meridien hotel (Oran). The information was provided by the Algerian Judo Federation.

The city of Oran will thus host the event to the detriment of Algiers for the simple reason that the latter will host the Mediterranean Games in the same year.

For the Algerian authorities, these African Nations Championships come at the right time, especially since they will serve as preparations for those who will organize the Mediterranean Games in the same year.

“These senior African Championships will be a good preparation for the organizers. They will put them in the conditions of reality. Especially before hosting this second major sporting event of the year (Mediterranean Games) ”, we can read in the official document.

As a reminder, Algeria organized these games for the last time in 2000.
