Zárate Basket got the promotion!

Playing a match that was close to perfection, the Anglese team beat Comunicaciones by 85-54 and achieved the much-desired promotion to the Argentine League. Chronicle of a deserved achievement.

An intense first quarter in which it was clear who played for everything and who just for honor. Zárate came out very involved in the game with a Chaine that made his physique and experience weigh at the beginning. With a solid attack stationed those from the north of the province of Buenos Aires were drawing quick differences. Baquero and Andujar joined the intern. With four minutes to go, Zárate was winning by 10 points (15-5) before a blurred Comu well contained by the defense of the winner up to here. With everything studied with a defense that was rotating from man to zone, those led by Anglese were increasing the difference to stay with the first set by 19 to 10.

The second room had the same characteristics. With an intense defense and a game ordered, Zárate found Pineda’s triples at the beginning to move further away on the scoreboard. Comu lacked the outburst that brought them here and the nerves that are generated when nothing comes out began to play against them. Solid Salvatierra in defense and with points in the other paint plus the contribution of Pascolatt at times, Zárate took the first half by 43 to 22 and thus began to direct his triumph and promotion to the Argentine League.

The third quarter was going to be decisive when it came to knowing if Comu would have a chance of recovery and if his rival was going to leave him. At the start it seemed that those led by Herrera began to resemble the team that had reached the home run, but what was not on the paper at least because of what he had done until this game was the appearance of Agustín Brocal (15 points in the fourth) that with two strokes put things in their place. Thus with a partial 7-0 Zárate was once again the protagonist and made it clear that he was not going to lead to the rival’s lifts. With a consolidated game, with goals distributed and in a more even set, the team from the province of Buenos Aires went to the last break, winning 68 to 43.

The last quarter was almost too many, Zárate continued to show an orderly game against a Comu that he wanted but could not. The aurinegro encountered a rival who did his homework very well both in attack and defense and who ended up taking the game 85 to 54. Zárate celebrated his promotion to the Argentine League after having made a great home run and Comu said goodbye playing a good tournament, where he found rivals who clearly surpassed him (Pergamino and Zárate), something that does not detract at all from the great campaign carried out by these young people who are under 23 years old and who have a huge future ahead of them.
