Cluj-Napoca (SID) – On the way to the semifinals of the WTA tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, tennis player Andrea Petkovic (Darmstadt) was stopped by the onset of darkness. The quarter-finals of the 33-year-olds against Australian qualifier Seone Mendez were interrupted at 6: 7 (6: 8), 6: 4, 5: 1 and should continue on Saturday.
Petkovic, who is number two, is the last seeded player in the tournament, the opponent in the semifinals would be Aleksandra Krunic from Serbia.
