Withdrawing from Korea Open 2021, Kevin Sanjaya Floods with Prayers and Netizens Support

Suara.com – Indonesian men’s singles specialist, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, continues to receive support from Indonesian netizens despite withdrawing from the 2021 Korea Open.

Indonesian badminton connoisseurs have to be patient longer to see Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo in action again on the field.

The reason is Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo will not participate in the BWF tournament, Korea Open 2021 after deciding to withdraw from the event.

Indeed, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon will be Indonesia’s mainstay in the men’s doubles number of the Super 500 tournament.

However, the pair nicknamed the Minions chose to withdraw, it is not clear why they failed to compete in the event.

Apart from Marcus/Kevin, Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti also withdrew from the tournament which was originally scheduled to be held on August 31 – September 5, 2021.

Indonesia will also not be strengthened by the two mainstay men’s singles in the tournament, Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.

Even though they had to be more patient, Indonesian badminton fans still gave their full support to Kevin Sanjaya.

Especially following the unsatisfactory results at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where Marcus/Kevin had to be eliminated from the quarter-finals.

Although closing the Olympics with poor results, Kevin admitted that he did not want to give up and still wanted to fight ahead.

This was revealed through an article uploaded to a personal Instagram account by including a photo of him while at the Olympic monument.

“Always keep your head up, because if you look down you won’t be able to see the blessings that have been placed in your life,” wrote Kevin Sanjaya.
