Vincent kompany will not officially be Anderlecht’s head coach for Sporting’s European trip to the Conference League against KF Laç. Craig Bellamy is the person indicated for this role by UEFA on the match sheet.
Vince the Prince has not yet obtained the qualification (UEFA) required to coach at this level. The Brussels resident will obviously be on the trip and will sit on the bench. He will certainly also give some instructions.
On the side of Anderlecht, we specify that it is only a matter of formality and that Vincent Kompany will be the T1 for this match.
This is not the first time that the lack of a diploma has been a problem for Kompany. In October 2019, a few months after his return to the Mauves, the Belgian Union Licensing Commission fined Anderlecht 5,000 euros because the former Red Devil did not have the UEFA Pro License.
He has since started classes but has not yet been able to complete them.
