“Today I read the press release from the FIGC which, in the next championship, admits Siena among the professionals and I am delighted about this. I take this opportunity to publish an interview of mine, last June 2nd, in which I reassured the Tuscan fans about the certain repechage of their favorite team. This year, Trastevere competed with this prestigious, historic and noble club for an entire championship, facing it three times: once at the beautiful Artemio Franchi stadium in Siena and in two circumstances (return and play-off) at the Trastevere Stadium. . They were intense, competitive challenges, yet fought with great loyalty. Much esteem has been established among the respective leaderships. It might surprise my absolute certainty, over two months ago, regarding Siena’s return to the pros, where even the most ardent Tuscan fan wouldn’t have bet a cent. The apparatus of a football club is very complex and therefore it is necessary that the managers who lead it have farsightedness, foresight and clarity of ideas; it is not a question of throwing predictions there, but of making weighted assessments. Only in this way is it possible to develop projects in football and, above all, to last over time. Therefore, a strong “good luck” to our Sienese friends with the hope of meeting again soon to give life to new exciting challenges “.
