Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Hauts-de-Seine: Clamart, the second most awarded city in France

With the Tokyo Olympics over, it’s time to count. With 33 medals obtained, France is positioned to 8e place of the world ranking.

According to Holidu, a search engine for vacation rentals, on the 15 most awarded cities in France, the Hauts-de-Seine appear twice in the ranking. A glance at our Altosequanese birth medalists.

Six medals for Clamart, two for Colombes

Three gold medals, one silver and two bronze. Clamart is the second city in France with the most medals at the 2021 Olympics. Won by five athletes, two women and three men. It’s judokate Romane Dicko, in gold in the mixed team and in bronze in the individual who returns the most successful in the city with the judoka Killian the Blouch, also a gold medalist in a mixed team.

In eighth place, Colombes has two medalists: one in gold and one in silver. The first was won by Guillaume Chaine in Judo in a mixed team event, and the second by Anne-Cécile Ciofani in Women’s Rugby. The city is the third in Ile-de-France.

Île-de-France, land of champions

Of the 15 cities in France with the most medalists, seven towns in the Ile-de-France region occupy the ranking with no less than 26 medals. In first position: the Parisian athletes with 10 medals won (six gold and four silver), come next Noisy-le-Sec (9e with two gold and silver medals), Sarcelles (10e with a gold and a silver medal), Soissy-sous-Montmorency (11e with a gold medal and a silver medal) and finally Villepinte (13e with a gold medal and a silver medal).

The French delegation will once again have the opportunity to shine in Tokyo and win medals at the Paralympic Games which will take place from August 24 to September 5.
