The Limburg harvest: one gold and six diplomas

With fourteen participants, Team Limburg sent its largest post-war delegation to the Games. Thanks to Nina Derwael, gold now shines in the bronze-green oak. She finished in the top eight three times. Robbe Ghys (4th), Jelle Geens (5th) and Hermien Peters (6th) are also allowed to put an Olympic diploma on their resume. In Rio, Pieter Timmers and Dirk Van Tichelt had won silver and bronze.
