The Lakers are on the hunt for a new veteran!

After being hyperactive during the first hours of free agency, the Lakers have slowed down somewhat in recent days. They could however prepare a new offensive, and try to enlist yet another experienced player!

32, 36, 32, 35, 37, 33: here are the different ages of Russell Westbrook, Trevor Ariza, Kent Bazemore, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony and Wayne Ellington. All have the common point of having joined the Lakers in recent days, in addition to having a rich record in the league. Faced with this observation, the jokes making the Angelino workforce the first official Ehpad of the NBA take on their full meaning.

Because in addition to these six recruits attracted by Rob Pelinka, Frank Vogel will also count in its ranks LeBron James and Marc Gasol, both 36 years old. The experience is therefore not likely to be lacking in LA next year. Despite this, the front office does not yet seem sufficiently satisfied on this point. After the evocation of the rumor Isaiah Thomas, Marc Stein reveals that the leaders would be watching another veteran profile!

According to Marc Stein, the squad depth at the winger position is greater than that at the lead for the Lakers. James Ennis is a name that has been mentioned for the franchise.

The journalist therefore suggests that before considering signing IT, the Purple & Gold will first seek to convince a Wingman to join them. The James Ennis track in this case makes sense.

Arrived in 2014 in the league, the winger of 31 years has already known no less than 7 franchises. True journeyman, he remains on a rather convincing season on the Orlando side. Holder at post 3 when injuries spared him, he distinguished himself thanks to his address at 3 points (43.3%, 2.5 attempts per game). But it is for his other main asset that the Lakers could enlist him.

Physical as possible, Ennis displays great qualities on the defensive plan. This is good, since it is mainly the shortcomings in this area that have been singled out in the recruitment of Los Angeles. Therefore, an offer of a minimum wage contract should not be long in being offered to him by the residents of the Staples Center.

The recent raid of players in their thirties will obviously not be enough for the Lakers, who would see themselves adding James Ennis. His profile would not be too much in the purple and gold roster anyway.
