Lille OSC has rejected a first offer for Sven Botman. Wolverhampton Wanderers will have to dig deeper to pick up the defender in France, Fabrizio Romano reports.
Wolverhampton is one of the interested clubs, as is Sevilla and previously Atalanta Bergamo was also mentioned. Wolverhampton has reported to Lille, but the offer is not yet satisfactory. There is a good chance that Sevilla will also start bidding, but the Andalusians must first sell Jules Koundé. He’s on his way to Chelsea.
It is not exactly clear what Lille wants for Botman, but amounts of around 20 to 25 million euros were mentioned at an earlier stage. Lille has little spending space and will be high in the tree for a player who is still stuck in northern France until 2024.
Botman made the switch from Ajax to Lille last year. He immediately became champion in his first year in France, but the club is in bad shape this season. Lille is waiting for its first victory.
Wolves have made an official bid to sign Sven Botman on a permanent deal. Lille turned down the proposal – Sevilla are still interested if Jules Koundé will definitely join Chelsea. ???????????? #Wolves #transfers
