On Saturday (August 21), if the weather was perfect, tennis fans from all the Wissen tennis clubs played a men’s doubles tennis tournament on the grounds of the Blau-Rot Wissen tennis fans, who were also the initiators and organizers of the tournament.
Knowledge. The double final with Peter Brenner and Stephan Theis against Berthold Weller and Heinz Schmidt was determined in six game rounds with four doubles each and alternating double pairings.
The upper hand in this very appealing endgame was kept by Peter Brenner and Stephan Theis, who were able to secure the tournament victory.
In good company, with excellent food and wonderful delicacies, many memories were exchanged after the game and it was agreed that next year – again on the 3rd weekend in August – this tournament should take place again. It may then also be possible to play women’s doubles and mixed games. (PM)
