The Danish defender Vestergaard moved from Southampton to Leicester

In Leicester, Vestergaard will meet goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, with whom he helped Denmark to the semifinals at the recent European Championships. They eliminated the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

Vestergaard left Southampton after three years. Prior to that, he worked in the Bundesliga, where he played for Mönchengladbach, Bremen and Hoffenheim.
