Thanks for a great time!

The competitions of the DJB athletes were an emotional roller coaster ride. Nothing for the faint of heart and certainly nothing for late risers. The judo fans at home got up early in the morning, cheered, cheered loudly and carried their protégés to top performances via the livestream.

Some athletes have surpassed themselves, others were unable to call up their performance at the crucial moment on the important competition day – that’s sport. However, every single DJB athlete has given his best and in recent years has subordinated everything to this one goal, the Olympic competition.

The corona pandemic and its effects have made this Olympic cycle extremely difficult and demanded everything both mentally and physically. Standing on the tatami in the venerable Nippon Budōkan at the Olympic Games is an incredible success – you did a great job!

Thanks to the whole team!

Every athlete including coaching team, training partners, physios and co contributes to success!

Great reception after arrival in Germany

Less than 48 hours after the great team triumph, our judoka landed back in Germany. Whether Frankfurt, Hanover or Munich, all of our Olympic fighters and the entire staff were given a fitting reception.

Thanks to Dominic Fritze from the Olympic Youth Camp for the great photoEdu Trippel in the middle of the crowd

The party in Frankfurt was particularly big, as the German Youth Olympic Camp together with a DJB delegation, the JC Rüsselsheim and other sports and judo fans created a lot of atmosphere.

Now our Juoka will first process what they have experienced and then realize what they have achieved. All of (Judo) Germany cheered for you. Thank you for the exciting, successful and above all emotional Olympic Games in the motherland of judo!
