The summer transfer window will close at midnight on Tuesday, August 31. The TFC should be particularly active during this last day. The club have already announced the departure of Gabrielsen and Kasongo.
Things are agitated on Île du Ramier. Damien Comolli and the Toulouse club’s entire recruiting team are on hand to refine the workforce in order to play the leading roles and return to Ligue 1 next May. In the direction of the departures, the club has already announced several movements.
Former Toulouse captain and central defender Ruben Gabrielsen (29, 50 games with TFC) will no longer wear the purple jersey this season. The Norwegian was on loan for the duration of the exercise at Football Club Copenhagen, Denmark. Gabrielsen, one of the highest paid in the workforce, had been urged to find a new club by TFC owners Redbird. It is now done and the Comolli club will save the defender’s salary throughout the season.
Another departure to note, that of the young Samuel Kasongo (19), arrived at the club last summer. He joined the Swiss team of Neuchâtel Xamax on loan for the season. Deemed too tender, the latter was not part of Phiilppe Montanier’s plans for this last season.
