Spanish tennis player Rafa Nadal announced this Friday that he is ending the remainder of the 2021 season to focus on “recovering well” his foot and the discomfort that has been weighing on his year, and that made him resign from Wimbledon or the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
“Hello everyone: I wanted to inform you that unfortunately I have to end the 2021 season. Honestly, I have been suffering much more than I should with my foot for a year and I need to take some time,” he announced on his social networks.
Nadal claims to have agreed with his team and family. “This decision has been made and I think it is the way forward to try to recover and recover well. It is a year that I have missed things that matter to me a lot, such as Wimbledon, such as the Olympics,” he lamented.
