In the tvN drama ‘Crash Landing on You’, Jun-sang Tang is cute as Geum Eun-dong, and in the Netflix original series ‘Move to Heaven: I’m a Keeper’ (hereafter ‘Move to Heaven’), he plays the role of Gru, showing pure and fairy-tale charm. , through ‘Racquet Boys’, he portrayed a youthful and ambitious figure. Q. How satisfied are you with the ending of ‘Racquet Boys’?
A. When I received the script and read it, I did not have a single regret. As an actor, I think the ending is very good, and that there is a work that ends with us like that is a natural and honorable thing as an actor. It ended with a glorious scene, and after the last filming, all I could say to the writer and director was ‘thank you’. I said ‘thank you’, and the writer and director also said, ‘You worked hard. It was a warm ending where they said ‘thank you’ and exchanged gratitude for each other.
Q. From ‘Move to Heaven’ that was released in May of this year to ‘Racquet Boys’, you showed solid performances and received favorable reviews.
A. I still can’t believe I was able to appear in two works as a lead role this year alone. It is so amazing, honorable and grateful. I never dared to imagine that I would be able to play a lead role like this, but I did such a work, and through these two works, I was praised for being good at acting for the first time. It was the first half of the year that made me want to work harder because I am so grateful, excited and happy, and more compliments in the future make the whale dance. It made me want to run hard in the second half of the year and next year.
Q. ‘Racquet Boys’ must have had many interesting episodes while filming with peers.
A. We became so close that in the second half, in a more serious situation, just looking at each other’s faces made us laugh for some reason. Even just listening to each other’s minute breaths, it was so funny and the laughter kept coming out, I remember a lot of NG. The ‘Racquet Boys’ members had an incredibly strong desire to win. We also compete with each other. ‘Racquet Boys’ In order to organize the badminton rankings, we do it one-on-one with each other, so we lose a lot, and when we win, we get proud and tease them. It was fun to tease each other. Even if it was hard after filming, whenever I had time to take a break, I always held a racket and played. It was always fun to play while exercising like that, and it’s a memory and memorable one.
Q. From ‘Crash Landing on You’, ‘Move to Heaven’, and ‘Racquet Boys’, the characters’ tendencies were markedly different. Is there any point that Junsang Tang studied for these characters?
A. ‘What kind of charm should I save?’ For the part, before we started filming, we talked a lot with the actors, the director, and the writer who came out with us while we were filming. While doing ‘Crash Landing on You’, ‘Move to Heaven’ and ‘Racquet Boys’, when I was living with people of different ages and the other person was in that role, it seemed to naturally become my role. It seems to come out naturally and instinctively from the part I talked with the writer when the other person took on the role first and treated me rather than thinking and caring about it. If you deliberately pretend to be cute because you have a cute side in ‘Crash Landing on You’, it doesn’t look good, and if you try to laugh at ‘Racquet Boys’ by pretending to be cool, I thought it would be bad. Cuteness, coolness, etc. All have points, but I tried to make it naturally in chemistry rather than decorating it.

Q. Actor Yoo Ah-in, regretting the sudden absence of ‘Racquet Boys’, certifies that he is a ‘steamed fan’, collecting topics. Did Tang Jun-sang also read this topic’s SNS post?
A. I saw that SNS. As soon as senior Yoo Ah-in posted in the group chat room, one of the ‘Racquet Boys’ members saw it and said, ‘Hey, great,’ and posted it. I only checked it after seeing it posted in the chat room, and it was such an honor. I just clicked ‘Like’. “August 2 is a pity, but August 9 is unconditional,” he wrote. I don’t have any personal acquaintances because I’ve never done a project together, but my heart is that I want to work on a project together.
Q. You seem to have learned a lot from Lee Je-hoon of ‘Move to Heaven’. Is there any change in role models?
A. As an older brother who worked with me, Jee-hoon is the older brother whom I respect and who really helped me a lot as an actor. The role models are Jo Jung-seok and Jo Seung-woo seniors. Like the two of you, I want to become an influential actor by doing various genres while doing musicals, movies, and dramas. However, this does not mean that Lee Je-hoon is not a role model. love. Q. Is there a genre or character that Tang Jun-sang wants to challenge in the future?
