Lukas Nmecha immediately made himself heard with his new team Wolfsburg on match day 2 in the Bundesliga. The ex-Anderlecht striker gave Die Wölfe the three points with a late goal against Hertha Berlin, where Dodi Lukebakio scored his first of the season.

With Hertha-Wolfsburg we got a Belgian-tinted poster on match day two in the Bundesliga. At Hertha, Dedryck Boyata and Dodi Lukebakio were in the starting lineup. At Wolfsburg, Koen Casteels was standing between the posts and Sebastiaan Bornauw was sitting on the bench.

It was also a Belgian who opened the scoring on the hour. Brooks stopped Lukebakio incorrectly in the box and the attacker converted the eleven meters himself. But Wolfsburg still had a final offensive in store and equalized fifteen minutes before the end via Baku.

We seemed to be heading for a 1-1 in Berlin, but that hadn’t been calculated by Lukas Nmecha. The ex-Anderlecht striker came in 20 minutes before the end and immediately turned out to be a hero in his second league match for Wolfsburg: in minute 88 he kicked Die Wölfe to victory.

Wolfsburg leads the standings in Germany with the second win in a row. Hertha is left with 0 out of 6.
