[Epoch Times, August 5, 2021]The “Dixie Fire” (Dixie Fire) in Northern California quickly spread eastward under the winds of nearly 35 mph. The authorities called on Wednesday afternoon (August 4) Residents of Greenville and Chester should evacuate as soon as possible, otherwise rescuers may not be able to go to the rescue immediately.

As the bushfires approached, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office called on social media: “If you can evacuate to the east, please act now! If you cannot evacuate to the east, please go to Chester High School’s baseball stadium. !” “If you are still in Greenville, you are in danger and must leave immediately!” The authorities also said: “Residents can evacuate to Quincy in the south. If they insist on not evacuation, rescuers may not be able to evacuate. Go to the rescue.”

Due to the rapid fire, the authorities also issued a new mandatory evacuation order against the no-man’s land south of the Mountain Meadows Reservoir in Lassen County on Wednesday night.

As of 7pm on Wednesday, the Dixie Mountain Fire had burned 278,227 acres, 35% of the fire was under control, at least 67 buildings were burned down, and more than 3,000 houses were threatened.

Nearly 5,000 firefighters from the US Forest Service and the Bay Area Fire Department are fighting on the fire scene. Affected by the strong winds in the afternoon, together with the unburned vegetation of the control line, together contributed to the spread of wildfires.
