While passing through Chénier Park, located at 315 Albert Street, the municipal councilor responsible for sports and recreation, Marc Lamarre, met the president and vice-president of the Saint-Eustache pickleball association, respectively Robert Lafrenière and Pierre Asselin, to announce the creation of a new sports organization.
Also known as light tennis, pickleball is a variation of traditional tennis that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis.

The five-year memorandum of understanding between the Pickleball Association and the City of Saint-Eustache provides in particular for the loan of both exterior and interior infrastructure, as well as logistical and financial support for the organization of activities. In return, the Association has the mandate to promote and supervise the practice of this sport in Saint-Eustache, in conjunction with the Fédération québécoise de pickleball et pickleball Canada.
