“Riga” 3×3 basketball team loses in the final of the World Tour “Masters” / Article

The Latvian 3×3 basketball team “Rīga” with Nauri Mieze, Agni Čavars, Artūrs Strēlnieks and Guntars Strāķis in the city of Debrecen, Hungary on Sunday, won two victories in the “Masters” stage of the World Tour, losing in the final.

In the tournament with the second number, “Riga” won in the quarterfinals with 20:18 “Piran” from Slovenia, who received the fifth number.

Strāķis scored nine points, Miezis six, as well as six rebounds and three assists. Chavar had four points and five rebounds, but Sagittarius scored one point.

Simon Finzgar and Tjažs Rotars scored six points against their opponents.

In the semifinals, “Riga” beat “Amsterdam” with 14:12, which was sown with the sixth number in the tournament.

In favor of the winners, Miezis scored six points and scored three times, Sagittarius five points, Čavaras two points and ten rebounds, and Strāķis one point.

Finally, in the final “Riga” with 19:21 the Serbian “Ub” gave up, which in the semifinals with 21:17 defeated the Lithuanian “Šakiai”.

The archer scored nine points in the final and won four rebounds. Six points, four assists and three rebounds in Barley’s account, four points and six rebounds for Chavar, but Straka was left empty.

Miroslav Pašajličs scored eight points and Dejans Majstorovičs seven points.

It has already been reported that on Saturday “Riga” in subgroup B won “Graz” from Austria (10th) with 21:15 and “Novi sad” from Serbia (7th) with 21:12.

Last weekend, Latvians stopped in the quarterfinals of the Lausanne Masters tournament, which was their first race after the triumph at the Tokyo Olympics, taking fifth place. Nauris Miezis, Lasmanis and Agnis Čavars started in Lausanne as part of the team “Rīga”, but Artūrs Strēlnieks took the place of the injured Edgars Krūmiņš.

In the first “Masters” tournament of the season in March, “Riga” took the fourth place after “Amsterdam”, “Novi Sad” and “Liman”.

With the continuation of the season, two more Masters tournaments are planned for the “Riga” team – on September 4 and 5 in Montreal and on September 18 and 19 in Prague.
